Name
lights-out — turn every light off. Head-to-head over WhatsApp, or solve it solo.
Rules
- The grid is 5×5. Each cell is a light — on (amber) or off.
- Tapping a cell toggles that cell and its four orthogonal neighbors (not diagonals).
Two players over WhatsApp
- Whoever starts sees a scrambled board and presses first, then it's Player 2's turn, and so on.
- Whoever's press turns the last light off wins.
- Difficulty (scramble amount) only matters for the starting board, and is fixed once the first press is made.
- If neither player clears the board within 60 combined presses, it's called a draw.
Solo
- Win when every light is off, in as few presses as possible.
↶ undo takes back your last move. ↻ reset restores the puzzle's starting state.
↻ new generates a fresh puzzle at the selected difficulty. The daily puzzle loads by default.
- Every puzzle is solvable by construction.
Strategy
"Chase the lights" top to bottom: to clear a row's lit cells, press the cells directly below them. When you reach the bottom row, its pattern tells you which top-row cells to press to finish.
